Regional Economic Indicators and Forecasts
The Center for Regional Analysis compiles analyzes key economic indicators for the Washington DC and Northern Virginia regions and makes these datasets available to the public in a timely manner. The Washington Region Coincident and Leading Indicators data series become the basis for promoting CRA as the key regional resource for information, and they provide a foundation for conducting special studies and research projects. Examples of available data include gross regional product, unemployment rates, employment by industrial sector, and labor force participation.

The Center for Regional Analysis produces regular forecasts of economic activity in the Washington DC metropolitan area. These forecasts are updated frequently and are made publically available on the Center’s website.
